The monthly cost-to-complete chase, by text, by voicemail, by hallway, is where most WIP schedules go stale. ClearWIP replaces it with a link, and keeps you as the only person who can touch the numbers.
One link per PM, one period
From close readiness, send each project manager a secure link. It works on their phone, needs no login and no account, and shows only their jobs. Each link is single-use and dies when the period locks or after 30 days, whichever comes first, so nothing usable is left sitting in an inbox.
What the PM does
For each job they see the job name and their previous estimate, enter one number, cost to complete, and add a note if something changed. Two minutes in the truck, done. By default they see no cost data beyond their own estimate; if you want PMs to see cost to date for context, that's a workspace setting you control.
You stay the only writer
Nothing a PM submits touches the schedule. Submissions arrive as proposals, tagged with the PM's name and when they came in. You accept, adjust, or dismiss each one, and only your decision writes to the WIP schedule.
Every accepted proposal keeps its provenance: who proposed it, when, and what you did with it. When the surety asks where an estimate came from, the answer is on record.
